Data Deletion Instructions
Last updated August 24, 2026
You can request deletion of information U-Ctrl received or stored through Facebook, Instagram, or your U-Ctrl account.
1. Disconnect Meta
If you administer a business in U-Ctrl, open the business's integration settings and disconnect Meta. You may also remove U-Ctrl from Facebook's Business Integrations or the corresponding Instagram app permissions. Disconnecting stops new data from arriving but does not by itself delete historical conversations.
2. Send a deletion request
Email hello@uctrl.org with the subject U-Ctrl data deletion request. Include enough information to identify the records, such as your U-Ctrl login email, business name, Facebook Page name, or Instagram username. Do not send passwords, access tokens, or payment-card details.
3. Verification and completion
We will acknowledge the request, verify that the requester is authorized, and target completion within 30 days. We will confirm completion or explain any information that must be retained for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.
What the request covers
- Connected Meta access credentials and social-account identifiers.
- Stored Facebook and Instagram messages, comments, and replies covered by the request.
- Meta-supplied names, usernames, profile photos, and related profile fields.
- Email addresses and phone numbers the customer explicitly shared in a conversation.
If you are a customer who messaged a restaurant or business using U-Ctrl, identify that business and the Facebook or Instagram account you used so we can locate the correct conversation. For more information, read the Privacy Policy.
